The company Baltaxia is one of the biggest companies importing and distributing canned fish products to the Czech Republic as well as to the Slovak Republic. The company Baltaxia cooperates in seven European countries with the international retail chains such as Ahold, Auchan, Billa, Carrefour, CBA, Coop, Globus, Kaufland, Norma, Penny Market, Plus Discount, Spar and Tesco, but the business activities of the company Baltaxia are much wider.

The company Baltaxia was established in 1991 in Liberec in the Czech Republic and its first business territory was the Baltic region, countries such as Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. During the first two years the Product Departments were created and also two new offices were established in Banska Bystrica in Slovak Republic and another office in Kaunas in Lithuania.
